Violence against citizens: “We are terrorists!” The Forum for Democracy addresses President Berisha In a statement distributed yesterday evening in Vlora, the Forum for Democracy stresses with concern that the situation has become extremely serious and that clashes were beginning. Convinced that only sincere political dialogue between the parties can find a way out of the current situation, the Forum for Democracy addresses this appeal to the President of the Republic: Accusers: 1) All violent actions carried out up to now should be stopped immediately, and a dialogue with the opposition should begin as soon as possible; 2) It is necessary to remove, by improper procedural means and through police commands, the risk of innocent victims. We are ready to meet with your representative and clarify our demands. We ask for a prompt reply. 3) Taking into account the situation, we are putting forward this demand firmly and in the belief that its realization would serve as proof of the will to create a political, not military, process for solving the situation in Vlora. Meeting with the Ambassador of Austria Meeting with the chargé d’affaires a.i. of Great Britain Meeting with the deputy head of the U.S. Embassy Mission Meeting with the Ambassador of Austria Yesterday morning, the Secretary-General, Xhevat Muslija, held a series of meetings with the Austrian ambassador, Georg Tancz, Mr. George Harting [?], and the chargé d’affaires a.i. of Great Britain, Mr. Stephen Nash, with the head of the U.S. Embassy Mission in Tirana, Mr. Robert Frowick [?], and other representatives of the diplomatic corps in Albania. The meetings discussed the latest developments in our country and the intensification of contacts between political parties. In the evening, the Austrian ambassador, Mr. Georg Tancz, and the U.S. ambassador, Mr. Robert Frowick [?], held a meeting with the chairman of the SPA, Fatos Nano. Meeting with the chargé d’affaires a.i. of Great Britain Yesterday afternoon, the Secretary-General of the SPA, Mr. Xhevat Muslija, met with the chargé d’affaires a.i. of Great Britain, Mr. Stephen Nash. The meeting discussed the crisis and the grave situation in the country.
